So here are my resolution updates...
Spiritual Health - I think I have given up with reading through the Bible this year. When I get behind I get stressed out, and instead of just trying to catch up a little each day I get so overwhelmed that I just give up. With that said, I think I'm done with the Bible in a year. April was not so great spiritually. I did buy two new devotionals that I'm excited about. I started one, its Experiencing Words of Jesus by Max Lucado. Its a workbook that gets you into scripture. I'm hoping that this will help me get back on track!!
Physical Health - I'm getting much better with this. The first half of the month I was slacking, but I'm getting back on track. Mary and I text each other Monday-Thursday at 6:30 to make sure we're up to workout. This past week I worked out 4 out of 5 days! Woo hoo! My goal is to get back to working out 5-6 days a week.
Healthy Schedule - Getting up early each morning is helping me go to bed earlier. So let's hope that this will continue!
Eating Healthy - I've been ok at this. I could definitely take it up a notch. A lot of my friends are also trying to eat healthier which is a good incentive for me to stay on track. Having friends trying to be healthier is definitely encouraging.
So now that I'm building momentum I'm hoping May will be a much better month! I've written a bunch of posts already...so hopefully you'll hear from me a lot more now that I'm caught up with all the back logs!

I FAIL in the blog world!
I know...I said I would gt back to blogging and I didn't. March was really busy, I know I shouldn't make excuses, but its the truth. I'm sorry...in the blogging world I'm a failure...but I'm really going to try harder, I promise!
Well...we'll start off with resolution updates...
Spiritual Health - Well...blogging isn't the only thing I failed at this month. I've gotten pretty far behind in my reading of the Bible. I'm reading the current passages now...but I have some back-reading to catch up on. I let myself get ovewhelmed by what I missed which made me just give up for a little bit...but I finally got myself to realize I needed to start trying to work at this.
Physical Health - another fail! Man...I'm on a roll! The first 2 weeks of March I was doing great...and then it went down hill. We had our retreat in the middle of March which was AWESOME but I was worn out. It messed with my schedule and I haven't been disciplined enough to get back on it.
Healthy Schedule - As I just said my schedule has been a little out of wack...but I have been sleeping much better. The problem has been I've been sleeping so well that I haven't been wanting to get out of bed in the morning! I LOVE my bed...its so comfortable but it makes getting up to work out very difficult.
Eating Healthy - Fianlly something I've been doing well with!! YAY!!! I have been eating a lot of salads. My favorite has been spinach with strawberries, blueberries, granny smith apples, dried cranberries, feta, chicken and balsamic vinegarette. I'm trying to eat a salad for lunch and then I have a little more freedom for dinner (or if I indulge at lunch to eat a salad for dinner).
So overall the theme has been FAIL...but I'm determined to make April better. My eating is a positive thing...and I saw my brother this weekend who noticed that I've lost weight. Yay!
So...here's hoping to a warm and healthy April!

Resolution Update...
So its the last day of February...and I am SO READY FOR SPRING!!! I have been saying that I would like one blizzard and then Spring...but I just want Spring NOW! I'm sick of the cold weather and I'm sick of my winter clothes!
Anyway...my resolutions...
Spiritual Health - There was one week this month that I got off track with reading my Bible everyday, but I caught back up and I haven't missed a day since! Being caught up with this is also helping with my routine. I'm definitely sensing God more through my day to day life, and my prayer life has been great!
Physical Health - I'm still loving my Wii Fit and I'm noticing changes! Not only am I still losing weight I've also noticed that my endurance is getting better. Before when I struggled running in place for 10 minutes, I am now doing 30 minutes with no problem!
Healthy Schedule - My sleep habits are still a bit out of wack. I have been having trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep throughout the night, which then makes it very difficult to wake up when I want to. I have cut out caffiene and I'm working out everyday. I found this past week if I take a hot shower before bed and read until I can't keep my eyes open I fall asleep great and stay asleep...the problem is that its 1 or 2 am when I'm finally turning out the light. I hope this gets better!
Eating Healthier - I've been eating a lot more salads, and having them as my meal which has been great. This month I also craved a lot of comfort food though...so I made lots of chili and mac and cheese. I'm hoping to keep more with the salads than the comfort food...and hopefully Spring coming will help that!
Overall I'm satisfied about how things are going...except the sleep stuff. Like most people I wish the weight would come off faster...but people are noticing and commenting which always helps motivate!
So here's to a healthy March...

Resolution Update...
Well, its been almost a month since the New Year started. I posted some goals that I have for this year, and a way to have some accountability I will post periodically how I'm doing with them.
1. Spiritual Health - I've been reading the Bible everyday...well I think I missed one, but I've caught up :) Being in the Word is great, but I'd like to have some more depth to it. I've been reading it more as something to check off my list. I will admit that its gotten better now that we're finished with Job!!
I have been praying a lot more throughout the day, which has helped with my attitude.
2. Physical Health - I love the Wii Fit! I decided that Sunday is my day off from working out. I have missed 3 days. One of those days was when I was going to Florida (I worked out while I was down there), one I wasn't feeling well, and the other I over slept. I'm definitely seeing results...I've lost weight! Yay! I would like to have more of a balance of going to the gym and the Wii Fit. The cold weather is really making it hard to be motivated to go to the gym so I've just been doing the Wii Fit.
3. Healthy Schedule - This is the area that I'm struggling with the most. I get sidetracked too easily or sucked into a show that I'm watching that I stay up later than I want to. I'm going to strive to be better at this.
4. Eat Healthier - Ive been doing well with my eating. Like I posted before I don't want to be a fanatic about it, but when I go somewhere I try to make a healthy decision (like a grilled chick-fil-a sandwich instead of the fried one). I have been eating oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, and packing a sandwich or leftovers and fruit for lunch. Obviously I'm doing something right here since I've lost weight :)
All and all I'm trying to be better and seeing definite results is probably the best motivator! I'll update you again in about a month!

Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year! I'm not usually one to make a bunch of resolutions...but this year I want to live a healthier life. Here are things I want to work on...
1. Be Spiritually Healthy - Read the entire Bible this year! I have been a Christian for 12 and a half years and I have never done this. My friend Amy is also doing this, and she created a blog here to help us. We're reading it chronologically, which should be very interesting. There is a button on the right side of my blog to remind you about it. If you would like to do this with us go to the blog and get started!
2. Be Physically Healthy - I would like to workout at least 4 times a week. Now that I have the Wii Fit I have been a lot more motivated. I'm hoping this motivation won't wear off to fast. I'm want to split my time between the gym and Wii Fit, but I have discovered that I can get a great workout with the Wii Fit.
3. Have a Healthy Schedule - Last year's school year I helped a little girl with CP get ready for school each morning. It was very early mornings getting up at 5:30am, but it got me in a great schedule of going to be early and getting up early. After I got her on the bus I had time to go to the gym. Now that she has moved I don't have any great motivation to get up early or go to bed early. I would like to be in bed by 11pm.
4. Eat Healthier - I want to make healthier choices about what I eat. I would like to cook more at home rather than go out as much. I love to cook, but its not very fun to cook for 1, so I go out more. And cooking more at home will help my budget!
I'm not going to be crazy obsessive about these things, so if I miss a day I'm not going to beat myself up. I'm blessed with great encouraging friends can help me with these goals...so here's to a healthier 2009!!!
What are you striving for this year?

Lofty Goals...
My friend Ed posted this today and it made me very happy!!!
Some of you might be wondering what's the big deal...but to me it is!
When I was three years old I had 3 goals in life.
1. To be able to turn the tv on and off by myself
2. To be able to cross my legs
3. To be SMURFETTE!!!
Yes...I wanted to be a small blonde blue-skinned creature...I don't think it will ever happen...(Though some of my friends are determined to have a costume party with the sole purpose for me to dress up as Smurfette)
But I'm pretty proud that I was able to accomplish 2 of my 3 goals!
